Zaki al-Mostafa

Zaki Al-Mostafa is a highly experienced professional in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics, currently serving as a Reviewer and Scientific Consultant for Mawhiba since 2022, where involvement includes the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibda'a." Zaki has an extensive career at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) since 1999, holding multiple roles including Research Professor at the Institute of Earth and Space Science, as well as various leadership positions within the Astronomy and Geophysics Research Institute. Previous experience includes consulting for the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia from 2013 to 2020 and providing expertise for the Saudi Bin Ladin Group on astronomical observatories from 2007 to 2014. Zaki's academic credentials include a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from The University of Manchester, an MPhil from the University of St Andrews, and a BS from King Saud University.
