Hyacinth Ntchobo, Ph.D., MBA has extensive work experience in the field of genomics. In 2012, they founded MagBio Genomics, Inc., where they currently serve as the CEO. The company specializes in genomics research and development.
In 2013, they co-founded MAWI DNA Technologies, a company that focuses on reinventing non-invasive sample collection through the introduction of the iSWAB device. This device allows for efficient collection of high concentration human DNA and low bacterial DNA content from regular cotton swabs. The technology is ideal for genetic studies in human and animal populations, as well as forensic investigation. Ntchobo continues to be involved with MAWI DNA Technologies in their role as CoFounder.
Hyacinth Ntchobo, Ph.D., MBA has a diverse education history. In 1994, they began their academic journey at Université Laval where they pursued a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, completing their studies in 1998. Continuing their educational endeavors, they obtained a Master of Science (Msc.) in Biology from the same institution, graduating in 1994.
After a brief gap, Hyacinth resumed their studies at Endicott College in 2005. There, they pursued an MBA with a specialization in Strategy for Molecular Diagnostics Market Development. Their studies at Endicott College concluded in 2007.
Apart from their traditional academic degrees, Hyacinth also pursued certification in project management. In 2010, they attended the Project Management Institute for further professional development and earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
