Scott Mahaffey

Scott Mahaffey currently serves as the Department Head for the Ground Combat Department and an Instructor at MAWTS-1 since March 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Company Commander in the United States Marine Corps from September 2018 to 2021, Assistant Operations Officer and Company XO at Officer Candidate School from September 2016 to August 2018, and various leadership positions as a Platoon Commander and 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps from May 2011 to September 2015. Scott Mahaffey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Marietta College, obtained in 2011.
