Theodore J. Hahn

Scientific Advisor at MAX BioPharma

Theodore Hahn is a Professor of Medicine in Endocrinology and Geriatrics at UCLA, and the Director of the UCLA Osteoporosis and Bone Disorders Program. He has more than three decades of experience, and more than 100 research publications, in basic and applied translational studies in osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal disorders, with a special emphasis on mesenchymal stem cell regulation in vitro and in vivo in relation to bone, cartilage and muscle health and function. He has also been involved in the development, testing and marketing of biopharmaceuticals. Dr. Hahn received his B.S. in Chemistry at Princeton University and his M.D. at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was a faculty member in Medicine and Endocrinology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis before moving to UCLA. Dr. Hahn has been an advisor to MAX BioPharma and has collaborated with Dr. Parhami on various preclinical studies involving the investigation of oxysterol molecules and their osteogenic and anti-adipogenic properties.
