Hamoun Heidari Bateni is a Geospatial Engineer and scientific advisor at EUMETSAT since October 2022, working as a consultant via RHEAGROUP. Simultaneously, Hamoun serves as a Doctoral Researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie, focusing on the PhD project titled "Quantification of correlations of trace gas and aerosol amounts for different types of biomass burning," utilizing the TROPOMI satellite instrument. Previously, Hamoun worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bremen, where studies in Environmental Physics and a thesis on "Remote Sensing of Polar Regions" were undertaken. Short-term participation in a measurement campaign at the Alfred Wegener Institute involved optical and radar remote sensing of snow and ice as well as environmental geophysics. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Physics from the University of Bremen and a Doctor of Philosophy in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology expected from the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry by December 2024.
