Jona Carmon

Jona Carmon is a PhD candidate at Max Planck Schools, focusing on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Neuroscience as part of a government-funded excellence program. Currently, Jona also serves as a network partner at imu, where a division was initiated to develop AI systems for human-centered organizational development. Prior experience includes a graduate lab internship at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain, where an independent research project on media exposure and nocebo phenomena was conducted, and a research assistant position at Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung, contributing to studies in environmental neuroscience. Additional roles encompass research collaboration at the University of Zurich on ethical issues in neuroscience, visiting researcher status at Newcastle University in computational neuroscience, and a teaching assistantship at Universität Osnabrück in Statistics and Data Analysis. Jona holds a Master of Science in Mind & Brain from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Universität Osnabrück, along with a computer science semester abroad at ETH Zürich.
