Iain Black, ICD.D, has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Prior to their current role, they served as the President and CEO of Maximizer Software, Inc. starting from June 2019. From October 2011 to June 2019, they held the position of President and CEO at The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. Before that, they had a successful political career as a Cabinet Minister, Member of the Treasury Board, and Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Government of BC from May 2005 to October 2011.

In the early stages of their career, Iain Black held various positions in the technology sector. Iain was the President of the Banking Solutions Group at Datawest Solutions Inc. from November 2002 to May 2005. Prior to that, they served as a Board Director at The Electric Mail Company Inc. from October 1999 to July 2004. Iain also held the roles of President and Chief Executive Officer at The Electric Mail Company Inc. from October 1999 to November 2002. Earlier in their career, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Axion Communications Inc. from March 1997 to August 1998.

Iain Black started their professional career at IBM Canada, where they held various client management positions from December 1989 to February 1996.

Throughout their career, Iain Black has demonstrated leadership, business acumen, and strategic thinking across different industries and sectors.

Iain Black, ICD.D completed the Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Comm. (Hons) in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Manitoba between 1985 and 1989. Iain also acquired a High School Diploma from River East Collegiate from 1982 to 1985.
