Martha Sanders-Tonahill

Chief of Staff, U.S. Services Segment at Maximus

Martha (Marti) Sanders-Tonahill is the Chief of Staff for the U.S. Health and Human Services segment and is responsible for supporting strategy and segment initiatives, key business decisions, and assisting senior executives in all aspects of operations. Ms. Sanders-Tonahill also oversees analysis, risk management, and compliance within the segment. Since joining Maximus, she has served in various management roles across the United States, working as a Vice President of Human Resources for the Health Central and Mid-Atlantic Groups and as Vice President of Operations for Human Services, supporting child support, new hire reporting, paternity engagement, and many other state-based contracts.

Ms. Sanders-Tonahill has 15 years of program administration and management experience in health and human services. Before joining Maximus, Ms. Sanders-Tonahill served as a contracted state attorney in Tennessee and as a guardian ad litem for the Rhode Island Family Court’s Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law.
