Nicola Secomandi

Nicola Secomandi is a highly experienced neuroscientist currently serving as Senior Scientist II at Maxion Therapeutics since September 2025. Previously, Nicola held the position of Senior Scientist II at Metrion Biosciences from March 2020 to September 2025, focusing on manual patch clamp techniques, ion channel studies, and various aspects of pharmacology and drug discovery. Earlier roles included Senior Scientist and Scientist at Metrion Biosciences, where expertise in electrophysiology and data analysis was developed. Nicola completed a PhD in Neurobiology at SISSA, where research involved hippocampal and amygdala neurons, and has a strong educational background that includes a Master's degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Università di Pavia and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
