Simon Sennhauser currently serves as an Associate Application Scientist at MaxWell Biosystems since January 2024. Previously, Simon Sennhauser held the position of Application Scientist Intern at Eawag, where responsibilities included working on the "Benefit" project, which explored the impact of blue-green infrastructure on biodiversity. Significant contributions involved library preparation for NGS sequencing of environmental DNA and soil sampling from various green roofs in Zurich. Simon Sennhauser has also participated in DNA extraction and primer testing for environmental DNA amplification in a previous role at Eawag. Before that, Simon Sennhauser conducted research on the BDNF-TrkB pathway and sleep regulation at the University of Zurich and assisted in research at the University Hospital Zurich following a laboratory course. Simon Sennhauser holds a Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Bern.
