Maria Garcia Collado

Maria Garcia Collado is an experienced professional in the field of medical science, currently serving as an Associate Field Application Scientist for SPT LabTech since October 2024, focusing on the Nordics and Benelux regions. Prior to this role, Maria worked at the Karolinska Institutet from July 2018 to June 2024, where Maria was involved as both a Researcher and a PhD Researcher. Additionally, Maria has experience as a Climbing Instructor at Klättercentret from December 2022 to June 2024, and briefly interned as a Product Specialist at BioNordika Sweden AB in August 2022. Early in the career, Maria contributed as a Project Student at Uppsala University between January 2017 and January 2018, investigating the role of S1pr1 in liver development and haematopoiesis. Educationally, Maria earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet in February 2024 and a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine from Uppsala University in January 2018.
