Alistair Herbert is currently the Head of Engineering >Products< at Maxwell+Spark. Alistair has over fifteen years of experience in the engineering field, working their way up from a Mechanical Engineer to a Senior Project Manager.
Herbert started their career at Sasol in January 2002 as a Mechanical Engineer. Alistair worked in petrochemical plant maintenance and project management, working at different plants in the Sasolburg complex. In 2006, they left Sasol to join RNE Engineering and Projects (Pty) Ltd as a Mechanical Design Engineer. There, they were responsible for detail mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping. Alistair also managed output from drafters and delivered quality products to clients.
In 2007, Herbert joined Chevron as a Project Manager. Alistair was responsible for managing the Cape Town Refinery's large capital portfolio. Alistair stayed with Chevron until 2018 when they joined Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd as their Senior Project Manager. Alistair is currently still with Astron Energy, but is looking to make a move to Maxwell+Spark in the near future.
Alistair Herbert has a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and matriculated from Maritzburg College.
