Alison Hirsh is a Senior Advisor at Maya Wiley For Mayor. Alison has over fifteen years of experience in progressive politics and policy.

Alison began their career as Chief of Staff to NYS Assemblyman Vito J. Lopez. In this role, they managed the day-to-day operations of the Assemblyman’s office and worked on a variety of policy issues.

Alison then went on to work at the New York League of Conservation Voters, where they served as NYS Director of Policy and Advocacy. In this role, they were responsible for developing and advocating for the organization’s legislative priorities.

After a brief stint working on the mayoral campaign of Bill de Blasio, Alison joined their administration as Senior Advisor for Strategic Planning in the Office of the Mayor of New York City. In this role, they worked on a variety of initiatives, including the city’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alison left the de Blasio administration in September 2020 to join Maya Wiley’s mayoral campaign as Senior Advisor. Alison is currently working on the campaign’s strategy and messaging.

Alison Hirsh graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York.
