Tony Wong

Tony Wong, CFA, CA(SA) has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Tony is currently the Head of Billing and Revenue Control at Mayer Brown, where they manage billing operations. Prior to this, Tony worked at Maples and Calder (Hong Kong) LLP as the Financial Controller and Finance Manager. In these positions, they oversaw financial operations and provided strategic financial guidance. Tony also held roles at Maples and Calder as Assistant Finance Manager and Senior Group Financial Accountant, where they focused on business analysis and reporting. Before joining Maples and Calder, they worked at Credit Suisse as an AVP and Senior Fund Accountant. Tony started their career at BDO Cayman Islands, where they gained expertise in auditing captive insurance and hedge funds. Tony also worked at Ernst & Young in both Houston and their main office, where they served as a Senior and Supervisor/Senior, respectively, overseeing audit engagements and leading teams. Tony's experience demonstrates their strong financial acumen and ability to handle complex financial matters.

Tony Wong, CFA, CA(SA) completed their Bachelor of Business Science Finance Honours degree at the University of Cape Town from 2003 to 2006. Tony then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting at the same university from 2006 to 2007. Tony also obtained additional certifications, including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 2013, and the Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification from SAICA in 2011.
