Tonya Hines

Tonya Hines has extensive work experience in medical illustration and marketing. Tonya has worked as a Medical Illustrator for Glia Media since 2013, specializing in neurological and spinal surgery. Prior to that, they served as an Art Director and Certified Medical Illustrator for Mayfield Brain & Spine since 1991. Additionally, Tonya has been involved with the Association of Medical Illustrators since 1988, where they have held various roles including Chair of the Professional Guidelines Committee and Past President. Tonya is currently a Member and serves on the artists' rights committee.

Tonya Hines pursued their education in a chronological manner. Tonya attended Wright State University from 1986 to 1988, during which they studied pre-med. Following this, they enrolled at The Ohio State University from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Illustration. In 1993, Tonya Hines obtained the Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) certification from the Board of Certification of Medical Illustrators.
