Clare Gatten

Clare Gatten is a Principal Statistical Programmer at Mayo Clinic, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this role, Clare accumulated extensive experience at Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities included serving as an Engineering Scientist in various capacities from August 2009 to January 2022. Key contributions included establishing frameworks for evaluating automation and machine learning algorithms for the US Navy, designing surveillance sonar systems, and conducting performance analyses. Clare also has experience in education, having worked as a Math Teacher for both Austin Independent School District and Houston Independent School District, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida. Clare earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
