Gloria Kim is an accomplished professional with a strong background in biomedical engineering and molecular biology. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Immunology at Mayo Clinic since March 2022, Gloria also contributes as a member of the ISCT Early Stage Professional Committee since July 2021. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at UPenn from April 2018 to February 2022, and a role as Lab Manager at the Transformative Biomaterials and Biotechnology Lab from August 2015 to February 2018. Gloria holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University and has extensive experience in the industry, including positions at Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and PPG Industries. Academic qualifications include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, along with postdoctoral training in Molecular Biology at the University of Pennsylvania.
