Karen Reinschmidt

Karen Reinschmidt, MS, serves as an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration and Instructor in Health Care Systems Engineering at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science since April 2020. With over 25 years of experience at Mayo Clinic, roles have included Principal Business Analyst, Healthcare Systems Engineer, and management positions focused on healthcare operations and systems engineering. Karen excels in strategic planning, process engineering, quality improvement, and change management. A recognized collaborative leader, Karen has been instrumental in building effective teams to further organizational objectives. Additionally, involvement with the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity included serving on the QA for Clinician Created Documentation Workgroup. Education credentials consist of a Master of Science in Health Information Management from The College of St. Scholastica and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Cardinal Stritch University.
