Shawn Murphy

Shawn Murphy currently serves as the Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Mazda North American Operations, a role held since 2007, overseeing legal affairs in a $12 billion entity focused on the Mazda brand in the U.S. Previously, Shawn held key legal positions, including General Counsel at Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Land Rover North America, and Counsel at Ford Motor Company, where responsibilities encompassed corporate finance and government affairs. Shawn's legal career began at Ford Motor Credit Company, addressing various corporate and litigation matters. Additionally, Shawn has played a significant role within the Association of Corporate Counsel - Southern California Chapter, serving as Past President. Educational credentials include a JD with honors from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a BA in Finance from Michigan State University.
