Avery Kushner

Avery Kushner has worked in the software engineering industry since 2015. In 2016, they were a Marketing Accounts Manager for Collabo Consulting Inc. In 2017, they were a Junior Developer for Appreciation Engine, where they were project lead on the development of the Official AE Connect Wordpress plugin, researched and integrated automated browser testing technologies, and worked with the MailChimp API. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern for Change.org, where they implemented UI features on the frontend platform in React and RendrJS, transitioned the multi-armed bandit testing architecture to support a newly introduced learning algorithm, and worked with Ruby on Rails and RSpec to script a database record update. In 2020, they were a Software Developer for Thrive Health and Audette.io, where they wrote automation tools for cleaning and standardizing large unstructured energy audit datasets, introduced TDD and BDD testing methodologies to new and existing code bases, and maintained the Django-React web application. Currently, Avery Kushner is a Software Engineer for MazumaGo.

Avery Kushner attended L.V Rogers Secondary from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained their High School Diploma. In 2015, they attended Selkirk College, where they participated in the University of Arts and Sciences program. In 2016, they began attending the University of Victoria, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science in 2020.
