Elizabeth Daly has worked in a variety of roles since 1999. Elizabeth started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin in 1999. Elizabeth then worked as a Mixed Signal Design Engineer at S3 Group from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Applied Optics Group in the School of Physics at NUI Galway, where they wrote algorithms to perform closed-loop adaptive optics correction of aberrations in real time. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Freelance Academic Editor at Oxford Language Editing. Elizabeth then worked as an Academic Proofreader at Proof-Reading-Service.com from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are an Optical Systems Engineer at MBRYONICS, where they are responsible for Python for scientific algorithms, Python code optimization, machine learning for object detection, and proposal preparation.
Elizabeth Daly has an extensive educational background. Elizabeth began their studies at the University of Galway in 1989, where they completed their degree in Experimental Physics in 1993. Elizabeth then went on to the University of Strathclyde to pursue a PhD in Physics, which they completed in 1999. In 2019, Elizabeth enrolled in the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and completed a Higher Diploma in Data Analytics in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in September 2020.
