Asterios Tsimpas

Asterios Tsimpas, MD, MSc, MBA, FACS, FAANS, serves as the Surgical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center and Co-Director of Cerebrovascular & Endovascular Neurosurgery at Providence since January 2021. Concurrently, Asterios is a Neurosurgeon at Orange County Neuro and Chief Executive Officer of Orange County Neurosurgical Solutions. In addition, Asterios functions as a Venture Adviser at MBX Capital and a Consultant at Medtronic. Previously, Asterios held the position of Director of Cerebrovascular & Endovascular Neurosurgery at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Asterios's educational background includes an MBA from Northwestern University, an MSc in International Health Policy from The London School of Economics, and an MD from Justus Liebig University Giessen. Asterios also engaged with the FDA as a consultant on the Neurological Devices Panel in 2018 and has served on advisory boards and venture funds focusing on innovative healthcare solutions.
