Operations Director At MCB at MCB Group

Bas Franken started their career as the Owner and Managing Director of Food Experience, a company focused on producing convenience food for the chilled food section in supermarkets. Bas achieved significant success, but due to financial constraints, the business had to close after two years. Bas then joined MeadWestvaco (MWV) as the European Performance Improvement Manager and Black Belt, leading the company's performance improvement program in Europe. Bas was responsible for selecting improvement projects, training black belts, and delivering targeted cost savings. After MWV, Bas worked as a Senior Business Process Consultant at R&G Global Consultants, where they participated in and led numerous projects focused on operational and supply chain challenges for multinational companies. Bas then joined Jongeneel as the Warehousing & Distribution Director and Manager of Supply Chain, where they were responsible for the total supply chain, inventory, and distribution centers. Most recently, Bas worked as the Supply Chain Manager at Voergroep Zuid before starting their current role as the Operations Director at MCB (Metaal Compagnie Brabant).

Bas Franken completed their secondary education at Gymnasium Felisenum from 1989 to 1995. Bas then pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from Eindhoven University of Technology, completing it from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified (Master) Black Belt in Six Sigma and Lean management from BMGI.
