Ian Horrobin has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Ian started their career as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor at Baily Garner in 1998 and worked there until 2000. After that, they joined Summers-Inman as a Quantity Surveyor / Monitoring Surveyor from 2000 to 2007. During this time, they also worked at Summers Inman as a Trust Cost Advisor. Ian then moved on to Currie & Brown as a Senior Consultant from 2007 to 2011. Later, they worked at Turner & Townsend as a Principal Consultant from 2011 to 2012, followed by their current role as a Project Director at McBains since 2013.
Ian Horrobin attended The Skinners' School from 1989 to 1997. Ian then enrolled at Keele University from 1997 to 1999, followed by the University of Greenwich from 1999 to 2002, where they pursued a degree in Quantity Surveying.
