Kraig Whalen

Kraig Whalen, CSP, CET, currently serves as the Global Technical Safety Lead at McCain Foods since September 2017. With extensive experience in safety management, Kraig has played a pivotal role as the Director of Safety at Valdes Engineering Company from March 2011, overseeing safety, compliance, and training, and achieving recognition as one of "America’s Safest Companies" in 2013, along with multiple client awards. Previous positions include Director of Safety at Superior Mechanical, where safety and compliance were coordinated, and Safety Consultant at Complete Safety Inc., responsible for training and safety for over 135 workers. Kraig also served as Safety and Construction Superintendent at Kensington Estates Custom Homes and Leach Homes Inc., managing contractor safety and conducting training and safety audits. Kraig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Lewis University, obtained between 1983 and 1988.
