Director Of Pricing at McCoy

Kevin Shute has a diverse range of work experience in the retail and building supply industry. Kevin started their career at Do It Best as an Assistant Buyer from 1981 to 1984 before moving on to Wickes Lumber as a Sr. Buyer in the Millwork department from 1984 to 1987. Kevin then joined Builders Square as the Divisional Merchandise Manager, responsible for the Door, Window, and Cabinet categories. Kevin later became the Director of Merchandise Planning and Support at Builders Square, where they directed planogram and store layout processes and managed product pricing strategy.

In 1997, Kevin started their own business, NAKK Enterprises, where they served as the owner until 1999. Kevin then joined McCoy's Building Supply Corporation as a Merchandising Field Project Manager, where they successfully managed simultaneous store retrofit projects. Kevin also served as a Merchandise Category Manager before taking on the role of Merchandising Manager, where they were responsible for data governance and defining rule sets for product descriptions, keywords, images, and metadata.

Since 2012, Kevin has been working at McCoy Corporation, where they initially served as the Director of Merchandising, providing vision, leadership, and direction for hardlines products. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Pricing, where they are responsible for building and growing the Pricing Department at McCoy's and driving the vision of a world-class team of price optimization experts.

Kevin Shute attended Glenbard West High School. After graduating from high school, they went on to study at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kevin pursued a Bachelor's degree in Forest Science and completed their studies in 1979. Additionally, they attended the same university from 1975 to 1980, although the field of study and degree obtained during this period are not specified.
