Thomas Zhao

Thomas Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Thomas is currently working as a Data Developer at McDaniel & Associates since May 2021. Prior to that, they were an intern at Energy Toolbase, where they worked as a Machine Learning Analyst from January 2021 to April 2021.

Thomas also has experience in the academic field, working as a UX/Front-end Developer and Project Manager at the University of Calgary from December 2020 to January 2021. Thomas has also worked as a Research Assistant at the same university, conducting research on pipeline reliability using in-line inspection data from May 2016 to April 2017.

In terms of internships, Thomas has interned at Husky Energy as a Mechanical Analyst from May 2018 to September 2018, and as a Project Manager from January 2017 to May 2018.

Furthermore, Thomas has experience in tutoring high school students in math and physics as a Tutor at Tutor Doctor from May 2015 to January 2017. Thomas has also served as a Project Manager at Project 90, leading a hydroponic design project to provide food for the less fortunate in Ethiopia from September 2015 to September 2016.

Before entering the professional world, Thomas worked as a Cabin Leader at Camp Chestermere from August 2014 to August 2015, and as a Sales Associate at Abercrombie & Fitch from April 2014 to August 2014.

Thomas Zhao has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from the University of Calgary between 2013 and 2017. Thomas later pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Software Engineering at the same university from 2020 to 2021.
