As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Jeffrey Collord oversees external relations, administrative advocacy, fundraising, data quality, and training for Haymarket Center. He directs the agency’s accreditation and quality improvement functions, ensuring Haymarket’s compliance with laws, rules, and standards in its delivery of integrated behavioral health care for individuals facing substance use disorders. Mr. Collord serves on the executive committee of the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health (IABH), a consortium of leaders in the field of addiction and mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery services. In 2015, he received IABH’s George Schwab Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his work in the development of public policy to address substance use.
A professional in the substance use disorders field for more than 20 years, Mr. Collord leverages deep experience in developing, managing, and writing grants to direct Haymarket’s grants program, which contributes 20% of the agency’s total budget. Prior to joining Haymarket, Mr. Collord wrote and administered grants for the Illinois Department of Human Services, Cornell Companies, and BHS Management Corp. He assumed the role of Vice President of Operations in 2017, after serving as director of development and government relations (2012-2017) and director of grants (2007-2012). Mr. Collord holds an MA in English from the University of Illinois–Chicago and a BA in political science from Wheaton College.
