Zia al Akbar

Zia Al Akbar is a seasoned Lead Structural Engineer with extensive experience in offshore and onshore field development projects. Currently employed at McDermott International, Ltd since 2018, Zia oversees structural engineering for deepwater subsea field developments. Previous roles include significant positions at Offshore Construction Specialists Pte Ltd from 2012 to 2018, where responsibilities encompassed coordinating and managing various offshore structural engineering projects globally. Zia's earlier experience includes civil structural engineering at Petrofac and structural engineering roles at PT. RPE Engineering and PT. Wiratman, contributing to the detail engineering design of oil and gas facilities and high-rise structures. Zia began a career in structural engineering in 2009 with academic training in Civil/Structural Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
