Len Jillard

SVP, Chief People Officer - International Markets at McDonald's

As Chief People Office, International Markets, Len Jillard oversees human resource operations in International Operated Markets – all wholly-owned markets outside of the U.S. – and International Developmental Licensed (IDL) markets – where McDonald’s has licensed its franchising rights to strategic partners. In his current role, Len is responsible for Talent Management and the development of Business and People Strategies among other areas.

Having started his career with McDonald’s in 1972, working part-time as a restaurant employee while still in high school, Len later served in numerous restaurant and operational roles before eventually assuming the position of Senior VP and CPO in Canada in 2004, where he oversaw the strategic development of McDonald’s People Policies and Strategies for nearly a decade. Prior to that, he served as Regional Vice President for Western Canada where he was responsible for over $1 billion revenue across 500 restaurants and 140 franchisees.

Now based in London, UK, Len’s career with McDonald’s has spanned multiple global markets including Singapore, where he spent three years operating as Corporate VP & CPO APMEA and Corporate VP & Chief People Officer High Growth & Asia/MEA Foundational Segments. Len relocated to London in 2018 and assumed the role of Corporate VP & Chief People Officer International Lead and High Growth Business Segments.

Early in his fifty-year tenure with McDonald’s, Len was recognized with the company’s President Award, a global honour that celebrates the top 1% of McDonald’s people, annually.

He holds a bachelor's degree from University Western Ontario.
