Jennifer Renee Blevins

Jennifer Renee Blevins, PhD, currently serves as an Instructor in the English department at the University of South Carolina, teaching a course in public speaking and ethics. In addition to teaching, Jennifer works part-time as a Content Strategy Associate at Words First Content Strategy, where development of digital content for clients occurs. Jennifer has extensive editing experience, serving as a freelance editor for McFarland & Company, Inc. since 2017 and previously managing the reviews section for the academic journal Modernism/modernity. Jennifer has held various roles at the University of South Carolina, including Bridge Humanities Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow and First-Year English Instructor, where responsibilities included guiding students in interdisciplinary studies and critical writing. Jennifer also completed a PhD in English at the University of South Carolina, with a focus on American literature, and has a background in legal assistance and office management prior to academic pursuits.
