David Becerra

David Becerra is a Faculty Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at McGill University since July 2020. Prior to this role, David served as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto and held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Terrence Donelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research. David's academic career includes positions as Course Instructor at McGill University, where instruction included courses on programming, and as a coach for computer programming teams in ACM-ICPC contests. Previous experience includes roles as a Data Mining Analyst at Codensa SA ESP, Technical Coordinator in the Distributed Computing Project at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and Bioinformatician at the Colombian Immunology Foundation Institute. David's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Bioinformatics from McGill University, as well as a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
