Isabel Pike

Isabel Pike is currently an Assistant Professor of Sociology at McGill University, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Isabel served as an Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies from September 2020 to August 2023 and was a PhD student in Sociology and Demography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2014 to June 2020. Isabel's professional experience includes roles such as a Research Intern at the African Population and Health Research Center and various positions with the World Food Programme from June 2011 to June 2014, including Reports and Donor Relations Officer and Regional Reports Assistant, where responsibilities encompassed proposal writing, donor engagement, and report preparation. Isabel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Princeton University.
