Stephanie Malin is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Colorado State University, specializing in environmental justice and environmental sociology since August 2013. Malin's research focuses on the social and community outcomes of energy development and production, in addition to teaching relevant courses. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Environmental Studies and Sociology at Brown University, where research concentrated on the community and environmental justice impacts of natural resource development, alongside teaching socio-environmental issue courses. From 2005 to 2011, Malin served as a Graduate Instructor and Research Assistant at Utah State University, conducting research on various social impacts related to natural resources and designing courses such as Social Statistics and Environmental Sociology. Malin holds a PhD in Sociology with a focus on Environmental and Development from Utah State University, as well as an MS in Sociology and a BA in Sociology/Anthropology and English Composition from Truman State University.
