Mathieu Bourgey

Mathieu Bourgey currently serves as the Data Science Director for the D2R program at McGill University since May 2024. Previously, Mathieu held the position of Scientific Manager at Mila - Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle from May 2022 to May 2024. From July 2015 to May 2022, Mathieu was the Bioinformatics Manager for Research and Development at the Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics (C3G), leading software development projects and supervising staff. Prior to that, Mathieu was the team leader for the Bioinformatics platform at Genome Quebec from September 2011 to July 2015, managing bioinformatics analysts and directing analysis for genomics projects. Additionally, Mathieu served as a research associate in bioinformatics and biostatistics at CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre from September 2007 to August 2011. Mathieu completed a Ph.D. in Statistical Genetics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between 2003 and 2007 and earned a Master's degree in Genetics from Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2001 to 2003.
