Michel L Tremblay is a prominent scientist and academic with extensive experience in the field of biochemistry and cancer research. Currently serving as President of the Academy of Science at The Royal Society of Canada since November 2022, Tremblay is also a co-founder of Kanyr Pharma since March 2015 and has been a co-founder of MISPRO Biotech Services Inc. since its establishment in January 2003, which focuses on high-quality support services for therapeutic product development. In addition to these roles, Tremblay has been a Full Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and at the Goodman Cancer Institute at McGill University since March 1992, contributing significantly to independent basic cancer research. Tremblay's previous experience includes serving as Director of the McGill Regenerative Medicine Network from January 2018 to December 2021 and as a Fogarty Visiting Fellow at NIH from January 1988 to March 1992. Tremblay holds a PhD in cancer virology from McMaster University and advanced degrees in virology and microbiology from Université de Sherbrooke.
