Ollivier Dyens

Ollivier Dyens has held several prominent positions in academia, currently serving as the Director of the Department of French Literatures, Translation, and Creation at McGill University since August 2013, while also being the Founder and co-Director of Building 21, an innovative learning initiative. Additionally, Dyens is a Full Professor and has served as the Chair of the BA Minor in Social Entrepreneurship and Deputy Provost for Student Life and Learning at McGill, overseeing a substantial budget and staff dedicated to supporting student development. Previously, a Full Professor and Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning at Concordia University, responsibilities included overseeing academic programs and curriculum reviews, as well as leading the School of Extended Learning. Dyens's academic qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and a Master's in Art History (Film Studies) from Université de Montréal, alongside a B.F.A. in Film Production from Concordia University.
