Jeff Kluger is a Senior Partner in MKCI’s Florham Park, NJ office. He has a wide range of experience in toxic tort, occupational disease, products liability, environmental and general liability litigation. His toxic tort experience includes: asbestos, benzene, toluene, perchloroethylene, and other dry cleaning chemicals, other chemical exposures, and silica. His products liability experience includes a wide range of industrial machinery and building products matters.
Jeff serves as National Coordinating Counsel for several major defendants in asbestos and benzene litigation. He conducts seminars on defense of these companies for local counsel and insurance carriers.
Jeff is one of the founding members of MKCI, with which he has worked for over 25 years. He serves on the firm’s Management Committee, and conducts in-house training in legal writing for the firm’s newest associates.
Jeff has argued before the New Jersey Appellate Division and Supreme Court in significant medical product and toxic tort cases, including in the reported cases of Housley v. Wave Energy Systems, 343 NJ Super 574 (App. Div. 2001) and Whelan v. Armstrong International, Inc., (A-40/41/42/43/44/43/46-18) (081810) (decided June 3, 2020)
Jeff has written and lectured extensively before the insurance industry on asbestos, chemical and other occupational disease topics.
In addition to his litigation experience, Jeff serves on the board of the Nothing Is Impossible Foundation, and is active in Cornell Law School alumni affairs.
Jeff obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in History from Wesleyan University.
