Michael Snizek is a Partner in MKCI’s New York City office. His practice focuses on a wide range of insurance defense issues and complex commercial litigation cases, including construction defect, construction accident, elevator/escalator cases, asbestos litigation, premises liability, aviation, automobile, products liability, property damage, first-party insurance claims, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage work.

Michael represents construction managers, contractors, real estate developers, property owners, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, corporations, and insurance carriers in state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey, California, Texas, and Florida. He is also experienced in post-incident construction site investigation.

In addition to his litigation experience, Michael is a member of MKCI’s Marketing Committee.

Prior to joining MKCI in 2021, Michael was the managing attorney of the New York and Texas offices of a multi-state litigation firm. Prior to the practice of law, he was a construction manager for almost 8 years in New York City and Boston and has managed construction projects valued in excess of $150M. Michael was also a union carpenter in New York City during high school and college.

In addition to his work with MKCI, Michael is involved in several civic activities. He is a member of the Rotary Club of New York and is on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of the Rotary Club of New York.

Michael obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School. While in law school, he was a chambers intern for the Hon. Joseph McLaughlin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and a summer intern in the litigation group of a large Boston law firm. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from Fairfield University, where he was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha national political science honor society and Sigma Tau Delta national English honor society.
