Christopher W. Powell

Christopher W. Powell serves as the Area Manager and Senior Vice President at McGriff, the sixth largest agency in the nation, since July 2006. With a robust background in the insurance industry, Christopher previously held the position of Producer and Vice President at BB&T Insurance Services from January 1999 to June 2006, and worked as an Employee Benefits Producer at Barger Insurance from March 1992 to January 1999. Beginning a career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia as an Account Associate from June 1989 to March 1992, Christopher has a comprehensive understanding of brokerage, risk management, and employee benefits. Christopher obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Hampden-Sydney College between 1985 and 1989.
