David Buffa

When asked why he chose a career in the construction industry, David replies “I feel that construction chose me.” David’s earliest memories are of receiving a collection of Tonka earthmovers, including motor graders, dump trucks, and loaders. He enjoyed endless hours pushing and moving sand and dirt with them. In 1998, upon completion of a summer internship, David was offered a full-time position at a grading and paving company. During his employment there he worked as an estimating assistant and take-off engineer.

In 2002, David chose to accept a job offer from McGuire and Hester. The transition was one that was fueled by David’s desire to learn multiple trade disciplines. After speaking with other McGuire and Hester employees, he felt that the culture of the company was a fit for his family and personal values. Throughout the years David has worked at McGuire and Hester as a Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. His great rapport with employees and clients made him a perfect choice for Area Manager of our South Bay region.
