Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas has a diverse work experience, starting in 1982 as a Regional Field Director for Paul Trible's US Senate campaign. Mike then went on to work as a Campaign Manager for various political campaigns, including George Allen for Governor in 1992 and George Allen for US Senate in 2011.

Thomas also held positions in government, serving as the Transition Director for Gov.-elect George Allen in 1993, Secretary of Administration for Governor George Allen from 1994 to 1998, and Director and Agency Head at the Virginia Department of Information Technology from 1998 to 2001.

In the political sphere, Thomas worked for US Senator George Allen as Chief of Staff from 2002 to 2004 and as State Director from 2001 to 2007. Mike also served as First Vice Chairman for the Republican Party of Virginia from 1996 until 2020.

Thomas later joined McGuireWoods Consulting, where they held the roles of Senior Vice President of State Government Relations and Senior Vice President.

Mike Thomas attended the University of Richmond from 1977 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Mike also holds a certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
