Paul Urbiel is a Senior Principal Planner at McKenna since September 2020, bringing extensive expertise in planning and urban design. Previously, Paul served as an Urban Planner at Gensler from 2006 to 2020, where responsibilities included leadership in the Urban Strategies and Design Practice Area, project management for a variety of planning initiatives, and analysis for economic reinvestment strategies. Prior to Gensler, Paul worked as a Planner at the Downtown Detroit Partnership from 2004 to 2006, focusing on economic development projects to enhance downtown Detroit's environment during major events like Super Bowl XL. Academically, Paul holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, both from the University of Michigan.
