Haruka Ichimaru

Haruka Ichimaru is a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company since September 2023 and serves as a Section Editor for the academic journal "PROTEST" focused on global social movements. Additionally, Ichimaru is a Research Assistant at Tokyo University, contributing to research on protests and social movements in Palestine. Previous experience includes internships at AL Media Strategy and UNHCR's Protection Unit, as well as founding MENA watch, a media platform aimed at educating the Japanese audience about the Middle East and North Africa. Ichimaru has also organized workshops and conducted seminars for high school students through the Ryugaku Fellowship. The educational background includes a degree in Political Science and Middle East and North Africa studies from Northwestern University, with further studies in Jordan and an International Baccalaureate from UWC Adriatic.
