Sanjana Akula is a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, specializing in growth strategy and emerging technology for startups and the public sector since February 2023. Previously, Sanjana was a Bessemer Venture Fellow at Bessemer Venture Partners, focusing on new product development for a Series B startup, and was one of 25 fellows selected for the 2021 cohort. As Co-President of the Founders Club at The Wharton School from May 2019 to August 2021, Sanjana played a key role in leading Penn’s largest entrepreneurial community, comprising over 1,000 members and more than 50 companies. In addition, Sanjana co-founded and served as CEO of Improvise from June 2018 to October 2020. Sanjana holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a focus on Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Computational Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
