Peter Alspach

Peter Alspach is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Principal and Director of New Construction/National Design Build at McKinstry since November 2023, focusing on the Pacific Northwest market and national design build initiatives while collaborating on decarbonization efforts. Previous roles include Principal and Director of Design Performance at NBBJ Design and Principal Global Leader of Environmental & Building Physics at Arup, where Peter led multi-disciplinary engineering projects and oversaw mechanical engineering and building physics. Peter's early career involved research at the University of Colorado at Boulder, teaching positions with the Peace Corps and JET program in Japan, and engineering roles at AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Peter holds an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
