Geoffrey Owen

Geoffrey Owen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in power electronics, currently serving as Chief Engineer - Power Electronics at McLaren Applied Technologies since October 2019. Prior to this role, Geoffrey held positions as Chief Electronics Engineer and Electronics Manager at Protean Electric from November 2009 to October 2019, and as Power Electronics Team Leader at Baldor Electric from 2002 to October 2009, where responsibilities included leading servo drive product developments and managing teams. Previous roles include Development Manager at FKI Industrial Drives, Principal Design Engineer at Semikron, and Power Electronics Engineer at Cegelec Projects Ltd. Geoffrey Owens earned a B.Eng(Hons) in Power Electronics from Birmingham City University in 1994.
