John Shepherd

John Shepherd possesses extensive experience in software development and systems engineering, particularly within the motorsport industry. Since July 2013, John has held multiple roles at McLaren Applied, currently serving as the Application Development Team Lead while also contributing as a Senior Systems Control Engineer and Systems Control Engineer, focusing on the development of Formula 1 SECU and Formula E software. Prior to this, John worked as an Infotainment Feature Engineer at McLaren Electronic Systems from September 2012 to July 2013 and served as a Senior Project Engineer at Ricardo from July 2001 to September 2012. John's academic background includes an MEng in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol, earned between 1996 and 2000.
