John Tikka

John Tikka has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare IT and consulting industry. Starting in 1990, they worked as a Technical Services Manager at Nexgen Software Technologies, where they led the development of advanced supply chain demand management planning software. John then joined Pricewaterhousecoopers as a Principal Consultant, managing and selling large-scale ERP implementations for various industries. In 2003, Tikka became a Client Relationship Executive at Cerner Corporation, where they were responsible for project delivery and new sales of Cerner Millennium solutions. John then served as the Sr Director for Business Systems at Johns Hopkins Health System, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Johns Hopkins University before founding Tikka Consulting in 2008. At Tikka Consulting, they focused on providing IT strategy consulting, advisory, and implementation services to healthcare provider organizations, including the implementation of Cerner EMR. In 2018, Tikka joined Westchester Medical Center as a Senior Director before assuming their current role as Vice President Information Technology Applications at McLaren Health Care in 2019.

John Tikka holds a Masters degree in Business Finance from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences from Michigan State University from 1982 to 1987.
