Sara Liter-Kuester has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Sara started their career as a Hospitalist at Quality Healthcare Providers in 2001 and later worked as an Office Internal Medicine and Hospitalist at Physician Health Care Network from 2002 to 2009. In 2010, they joined McLaren Port Huron as a CMIO, and concurrently served as a Medical Director at Mercy Physician Community PHO until 2014. From 2014 to 2019, they held multiple positions at McLaren Health Care and McLaren Health Care - McLaren Physician Partners PHO, including Regional Medical Director and Quality Committee Chair. In 2015, they worked as a Hospitalist at Port Huron Internal Medicine. In 2016, they also served as a Quality Committee Chair at McLaren Health Care - McLaren High Performance Network ACO. Currently, they are working as the ONE McLaren Physician Lead - Cerner Project at McLaren Health Care since 2018.
Sara Liter-Kuester completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Central Methodist University from 1990 to 1994. Sara then pursued a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) at Des Moines University, graduating in 1998. Following that, they completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Garden City Hospital through Michigan State University from 1998 to 2001.
